Mauritania: An international tour for Corentin Martins before Burundi

Since assuming the role of head coach, Corentins Martins has steadily elevated the performance of the Mauritania national football team. Under his guidance, the Mourabitounes reached the Africa Cup of Nations finals for the first time in 2019, a historic achievement that highlighted the progress of the national side. The team is now aiming to secure a second consecutive qualification for the 2021 tournament in Cameroon.

In the coming weeks, Mauritania will face Burundi national football team in a two-legged playoff, with the first leg scheduled for March 25 and the return leg on March 29. To ensure the squad is ready, Martins will conduct an international tour to evaluate the fitness and form of the various players called up from clubs abroad.
