Samir Nasri, who left Marseille in 2008 to join Arsenal and is currently a member of Manchester City, has not ruled out the possibility of playing for Marseille again. While economic considerations currently make it impractical, Nasri expressed openness to the idea in the future.
“I don’t know. Clearly, economic realities prevent me from considering playing again for OM at the moment. In the future, I don’t know yet. Come on, OM, why not in a few years…,” Nasri stated in an interview with the daily L’Equipe. This comment suggests that while the current circumstances may not permit a return, Nasri is not completely closing the door on the prospect of rejoining Marseille in the years to come.
