In the first leg of the Champions League grand final, Al-Ahly is set to face Esperance of Tunis this evening in Alexandria. Egyptian coach Hossam El Badry is expected to deploy the lone striker Gedo in the starting lineup.
The probable Al-Ahly eleven is as follows: Ekrami – Fathi, Gomaa, Naguib, Abdul-Fadil – Ashour, Ghaly, Al-Saied, Soliman, Abouterika – Gedo.
In positive news for Al-Ahly, star striker Mohamed Abou Treika is eligible to play. Abou Treika had faced a two-month suspension from the club for refusing to participate in the Egyptian Super Cup against Enppi, in solidarity with the club’s Ultras. He will form part of the attacking duo alongside Moteab-Geddo. The match promises to be an intense encounter as both teams vie for supremacy in the grand final.
