West Bromwich Albion (WBA) concluded some significant deals on the final day of the transfer window. In addition to securing the services of Beninese player Stéphane Sessegnon for €7 million, they also announced the one-season loan of Victor Anichebe. Anichebe, previously with Everton, moved to WBA as a backup plan in attack after the Lukaku deal with Everton fell through. The compensation amount for Anichebe’s transfer was not disclosed, but he signed a three-season contract with the Baggies.
