Stéphane Sessegnon, the Beninese midfielder, has made a surprising move in the final hours of the transfer window. Contrary to earlier reports that he would join Al Jaish in Qatar, Sessegnon instead opted to stay in the Premier League. He departed Sunderland and signed a three-year contract with West Bromwich Albion for approximately €7 million, marking the biggest transfer in West Bromwich’s history. The 29-year-old, nicknamed the “Black Diamond” by fans in Cotonou, will embark on a new chapter with his second Premier League team. Sessegnon boasts a record of 294 league matches and 42 goals.
