Head coach of the Moroccan U-17 team, Nabil Baha has decided against the offer he received from the Syrian Football Federation to lead their youth national team, the “Qasioun Eagles.”

Baha turned down the offer to coach the U-20 team, despite the strong desire expressed by federation officials to contract him to lead their youth development program.

Besides, the Syrian federation had also contacted another Moroccan coach to fill the position of sporting director overseeing the Syrian national teams, but he also rejected the proposal, stating that he prefers to work only with the senior national team.

The Syrian football leadership opted to seek a Moroccan coach due to the successes achieved by Moroccan national coaches in recent years, both with Moroccan national teams and with other national teams, such as Hussein Ammouta and Jamal Sellami with the Jordanian national team.

The Syrian U-20 national team is preparing to participate in the West Asian Championship, scheduled to take place in Kuwait from March 23 to April 2, with 11 teams participating.

Having turned down Syria, Nabil Baha is expected to continue with the Morocco U17 team as he seeks to make a meaningful impact in Morocco history.
