Nicolas Jackson is set to head back to Chelsea at the end of the season, with his loan spell at Bayern Munich not continuing into a permanent stay.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that several clubs are closely following the Senegal striker’s situation ahead of the summer window.

“In the summer, Jackson will return to Chelsea; he won’t stay at Bayern. So keep an eye on this, because he has always been well-regarded in Italy. He’s a player who has consistently been appreciated by Italian clubs,” Romano explained.

The 24-year-old is expected to attract serious interest from Serie A, while Premier League sides are also monitoring him as a potential attacking option.

“I believe he could once again become a name to watch for the Italian market, and also for the English market, because there are Premier League clubs already monitoring the situation,” Romano added.

Jackson joined Bayern on a season long loan last summer, with an obligation to buy linked to a certain number of appearances, but that clause will not be triggered due to his involvement at the Africa Cup of Nations.

He has found himself mainly as backup to Harry Kane, making 21 appearances in all competitions, scoring five goals and starting only seven times, which has limited his chances to fully establish himself in Munich.
