The Cameroonian Football Federation has confirmed a date for the on domestic football excellence, aims at rewarding outstanding footballers in the country.
Scheduled for 27 February, the 2026 edition of the prestigious event will be held at the Palais des Congrès in Yaoundé, bringing together key figures from Cameroon’s football community to celebrate outstanding performances in the local game.
This year’s winner will take over from John Bosco Nchindo, who claimed the honour at the 2025 ceremony. Widely regarded as the highest individual recognition in Cameroonian domestic football, the award is reserved for the player who has made the most significant impact in the local league over the season.
In addition to the coveted trophy, the new Ballon d’Or winner will receive a brand-new car, generously donated by a partner of the Cameroonian Football Federation, further underlining the prestige attached to the accolade.
The ceremony will not be limited to individual recognition alone. Several other awards are set to be presented on the night, including honours for the best men’s team, best women’s team, and the best coach in domestic football. These categories aim to acknowledge excellence across all levels of the local game.
With anticipation building ahead of the event, the 2026 Cameroon Ballon d’Or ceremony promises to be a major celebration of talent, hard work, and progress within Cameroonian football.
