The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has showcased the top 5 assists in the group stage of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) football tournament in Cote d’Ivoire.
Heading the list unveiled by CAF on its official X account (formerly Twitter) is the assist by Amine Adly, the star of the Moroccan national team.
Adly’s precise delivery reached his teammate Aziz Dine Ounahi, who secured the second goal for the Atlas Lions against Tanzania in a match that ended with a 3-0 victory for Morocco in Group Six.
The list also features Ahmed Hegazi, a player from the Egyptian national team, who provided the assist for Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet’s opening goal against Cape Verde in a thrilling 2-2 draw in Group Two.
Additionally, Muzio Pétowal’s pass made the cut.
The Namibian player’s assist resulted in Deon Hotto’s historic goal, securing Namibia’s 1-0 victory over Tunisia in Group Five.
