Mohamed Salah’s move to the Saudi Pro League is looking increasingly likely ahead of the summer transfer window, with growing signs that his time at Liverpool may be nearing its end.

The Egyptian star has struggled to hit his usual heights this season and has not fully rediscovered his rhythm since returning from the Africa Cup of Nations, where Egypt finished fourth.

Saudi clubs have been chasing Salah for more than a year as part of the league’s drive to attract global icons. Saudi journalist Abdulaziz Al Mursil has now made it clear which team is waiting for him, insisting that “there is no more speculation” and that if Salah joins the league, it will be Al Ittihad.

Al Ittihad have been pushing for Salah since 2024 and previously tabled an offer of around 150 million pounds, rejected by Liverpool before the club extended his contract to 2027.

French outlet Foot Mercato recently reported that Salah has softened his stance and is now open to a move, with talks already underway between his agent Ramy Abbas and Al Ittihad officials.

The Jeddah club are desperate to rebuild their attack after Karim Benzema’s departure to Al Hilal late in the winter window, making Salah their top priority for the summer.
