Saudi club Al Najma have officially announced the arrival of new signing Nabil Emad Donga, who joins the team from Egyptian giants Zamalek in the winter transfer window.
The club had confirmed the deal a week earlier, but on Tuesday they revealed that the midfielder had landed in Saudi Arabia to complete his move and link up with his new teammates.
Al Najma’s official account on X posted a video showing Donga arriving and posing in the club’s colours, signalling the start of his new chapter in the Saudi game.
The clip included the caption “The knight Donga has arrived”, as the club looked to build excitement among supporters. Donga appeared wearing Al Najma’s shirt and will take the number 80 jersey for the rest of the season.
While Al Najma have not disclosed the financial details of the transfer, previous reports indicated that Zamalek would receive 1 million dollars paid in one instalment.
The same reports added that the player agreed to give up 7 million Egyptian pounds owed to him by his former club in order to facilitate the move.
