About ten days after being hospitalized in Paris, Jean Paul Akono, the deputy technical director of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, is eager to return to service. In an interview with Camfoot, Akono expressed his belief that he is doing well, and though he may not have fully recovered his motor skills, he feels he is at 95%. He emphasized his readiness to contribute to building football in Cameroon. Akono acknowledged that Samuel Eto’o covered the costs of his evacuation to Europe, expressing gratitude for the footballer’s support.
