JS Kabylie midfielder Mustapha Rizkallah Bout insists his outfit gave their all despite failing to secure maximum points against Al Ahly in the penultimate CAF Champions League group stage clash.
The enterprising midfielder lasted the entire duration of the match, as the Algerian side played out a pulsating goalless draw against the Egyptian powerhouse on Saturday, February 7, 2026.
Despite creating scoring opportunities, both teams were unable to find the back of the net as the game ended in a stalemate.
The draw sees JS Kabylie bow out of the CAF’s elite club competition despite having a game at hand in Group B, while Al Ahly secures a place in the knockout stage.
After the match, Bout affirmed the side gave their all against Al Ahly despite the draw.
“We gave everything we had against Al Ahly, but football didn’t like us in the match.” He told beIN SPORTS. “I thank the fans who came to support us, and there are no problems in the team.”
“Our team lacks experience, and most of the players are participating in the tournament for the first time. We have been placed in a strong group that will increase our experience and strength in the coming period”
With one game to end the group stage games, Al Ahly are on top of Group B with 9 points, while JS Kabylie sit bottom with a paltry three points after 5 matches.
