JS Kabylie winger Lahlou Akhrib has apologized to the club fans following their elimination from the CAF Champions League campaign.
The Algerian outfit settled for a pulsating goalless draw in the penultimate group stage clash, held at the Stade Hocine Aït Ahmed on Saturday, February 8, 2026.
Despite creating scoring opportunities, both teams were unable to find the back of the net as the game ended in a stalemate.
The draw sees JS Kabylie bow out of the CAF’s elite club competition despite having a game at hand in Group B, while Al Ahly secures a place in the knockout stage.
However, the Algerian attacker has apologized to JS Kabylie fans for exiting the competition after Al Ahly draw.
“Today we were eliminated from the tournament and I thank the players who gave everything against Al Ahly but we couldn’t score.” He told beIN SPORTS:
“We tried more than once to score and take the lead against Al Ahly, but this did not happen. We apologize to the public and I hope they will forgive us. We will put in more effort in the coming period to return to winning ways.”
With one game to end the group stage games, Al Ahly are on top of Group B with 9 points, while JS Kabylie sit bottom with a paltry three points after 5 matches.
