Lille secured their second victory of the season last Sunday, clinching a 1-0 win at home against Saint-Etienne. With two wins and one defeat in the first three days of the championship, LOSC currently holds the 6th position in Ligue 1. Captain Rio Mavuba expresses his hope that the northern club will finish in the top 5 by the end of the season.
In an interview with RMC, Mavuba outlined the objectives of the team, stating, “It can be a challenging year, but we can also create a surprise. We are not expected, we have less pressure. We are learning to discover ourselves, and it’s already positive to have six points out of nine. Our aim is to finish in the top five, although we are aware it’s going to be a complicated task.”
