South African defender Puso Dithejane have secured a significant move to Major League Soccer outfit Chicago Fire.
The highly rated defender, a product of the Kaizer Chiefs youth academy, joins the club from South African side, TS Galaxy. The 21-year-old signed a four-year contract that will keep him at the club until 2030.
After making a name for himself in South African football, Dithejane has now taken a major step in his career with a switch to the United States.
“Puso has arrived in Chicago” wrote the club on X, formerly known as Twitter, marking significant move for the defender.
Before switching to Chicago Fire, the defender racked up 12 appearances in the South African Premier League, scoring four goals and delivering four assists.
Having developed at Kaizer Chiefs before sharpening his game at TS Galaxy, Dithejane now faces a new challenge in Major League Soccer.
His move to Chicago Fire represents not only a personal milestone but also another example of South African talent making its mark on the international stage.
