Jerôme Nzolo, a referee in the Jupiler Pro League (Belgian championship) of Gabonese origin, recently officiated the Brugges-Charleroi match. During the game, he issued a red card to Argentinian player Leandro González Pirez. The player expressed his dissatisfaction after the match, calling Nzolo a “real disaster” and claiming that he did not touch the opposing players in the actions leading to the yellow cards. Pirez hoped that the referee would review the footage to see that he was not involved in the alleged fouls.
