Fofana will be hoping to make a meaningful impact in his short spell in an attempt to make a permanent switch at the end of the season.
“RAFC is loaning Modibo Fofana (18) until the end of the season and has an option to sign him to the club for four additional seasons. Fofana arrives from Jeunesse Athlétique Club of Angre, which is linked in Ivory Coast to Jean-Marc Guillou’s training school” wrote the club.
The Belgian club will secure a permanent move to the club ifhe manages to impress during his loan stint.
This move gives Fofana his first real shot at professional football. A graduate of the Jean-Marc Guillou Academy, he is expected to start his adventure with the “Young Reds,” Royal Antwerp’s reserve squad.
