Dutch-born forward of Nigerian descent, Ayodele Thomas, has officially completed his move to German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig, sealing a transfer on deadline day.
RB Leipzig have once again underlined their reputation as a prime destination for Europe’s emerging talents, with the Saxony-based club confirming Thomas’ arrival from Dutch heavyweights PSV Eindhoven.
The winger has signed a long-term contract that will keep him at the club until June 2031.
The financial terms of the deal are considered favourable for Leipzig. With Thomas’ contract at PSV set to expire in the summer, the German club will pay only a modest compensation fee, reported to be around 400,000 euros.

Speaking after completing his move, the attacker expressed his excitement about the next step in his career.
“The club’s philosophy and playing style are a perfect fit for me and my goals. I want to use the first few weeks and months to learn from my teammates and the coaching staff, to adapt to the way football is lived and thought about here, and to settle in as well as possible at the club and in the city of Leipzig,” he said.
Thomas’ arrival adds further depth and youthful energy to Leipzig’s attacking options as the club continues to build for the future.
