Chelsea have confirmed the recall of Mamadou Sarr from his loan spell at Strasbourg.
The 20-year-old defender joined the Blues in June and made his senior debut against ES Tunis during Chelsea’s successful Club World Cup campaign.
He returned to Strasbourg on loan in August, where he went on to make 18 appearances across Ligue 1 and the UEFA Europa Conference League.
Sarr’s strong club form was reflected on the international stage, earning him his first senior cap for Senegal in November.
He was later included in the squad that lifted the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. After coming off the bench twice earlier in the tournament, Sarr started the final, helping Senegal secure a dramatic 1-0 extra-time victory over hosts Morocco.
The young centre-back is expected to be included in Chelsea’s squad for Tuesday’s Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
He is also in line to feature when the Blues face Wolves away in the Premier League this weekend.
