Torino has abandoned its pursuit of Faouzi Ghoulam, the Algerian international left-back from AS Saint-Etienne. The sporting director of Torino, Gianluca Petrachi, mentioned that they had a budget for Ghoulam but decided to pursue an Italian player for the left-back role due to the late stage of the transfer market. Torino is working on finalizing the deal for a local player in the coming days. Ghoulam’s contract with AS Saint-Etienne expires in June 2016, and he has been a regular contributor to the team in recent seasons.
