Sayfallah Ltaief has completed a move from FC Twente to SpVgg Greuther Fürth on a loan deal, joining the 2. Bundesliga club from the Eredivisie side. The Tunisian-Swiss left winger arrives in Germany with a current market value of €1.30m and will be on loan at Fürth from 2026-02-02 until 2026-06-30, after which he is scheduled to return to Twente.

The transfer is a straightforward loan, with the fee described as a “loan transfer,” and no permanent option indicated in the available data. Ltaief’s parent-club status remains with Twente, meaning his longer-term future will again be assessed when the agreement with Fürth expires on 2026-06-30. At that point he will still be tied to the Dutch club and therefore not become a free agent on the basis of this move alone.

For Greuther Fürth, the deal brings in a 25-year-old attacking player whose main position is on the left wing, operating as a right-footed wide forward. He thus adds depth and versatility to their attacking options in the 2. Bundesliga, a league he has not previously played in. The move also shifts his career back out of the Netherlands and Switzerland and into German football, underlining a trajectory that has already taken him through several European clubs.

Ltaief was born in Zürich and holds both Tunisian and Swiss nationality. His youth career took him through FC Zürich’s youth system and FC Kosova Zürich Youth before stepping up to FC Winterthur U21. From there he progressed to FC Winterthur’s first team, then earned a move to Swiss giants FC Basel. A loan return to Winterthur followed, before Basel sold him to FC Twente, who subsequently loaned him to Sparta Rotterdam and now to Greuther Fürth. Along that path he has featured in the Swiss Super League and the Eredivisie, and now adds German 2. Bundesliga experience to his résumé.

His market value has fluctuated notably in recent seasons, reflecting his development and changing roles. From as low as €200,000 with Winterthur, he climbed steadily, reaching €2.00m at his peak before settling at €1.30m most recently during his time at Sparta Rotterdam. This loan therefore places a seven-figure-valued winger into Fürth’s squad without a major transfer outlay, while allowing Twente to maintain control of a still-asset-rich player.

Ltaief’s transfer history shows a pattern of clubs using loans to give him regular minutes and continued exposure in different leagues, rather than committing to long, static stays. The present agreement with Greuther Fürth continues that trend, offering him another platform to reaffirm or raise his value ahead of his scheduled return to Twente after 2026-06-30.

As he settles in at Fürth, the move positions Ltaief to showcase his qualities in a competitive second tier, with the potential to influence both his standing at Twente and his attractiveness to future suitors once this loan period concludes.
