Yaya Touré, the Ivory Coast international and midfielder for Manchester City, marked his return to the Premier League with a spectacular free-kick goal during the team’s 4-0 victory against Newcastle.
In an interview with Marca, Touré reflected on his departure from FC Barcelona in 2010. He expressed that Barcelona was the team of his heart, and he had initially intended to retire there. However, due to intense competition within the Catalan midfield, he found it challenging to secure sufficient playing time. Touré mentioned that leaving Barcelona was the most difficult decision of his life, emphasizing his love for the club, its supporters, and his strong bond with many players, including Iniesta, Valdes, Xavi, Busquets, Pique, and Puyol.
