Enyimba FC have officially announced the appointment of Uche Okechukwu as their new Sporting Director, marking a major addition to the club’s management structure.
The former Super Eagles defender, who holds a legendary status at the club is expected to take a key leadership role off the pitch, as the club seeks for redemption amid their inconsistent performance in recent times.
“Enyimba Football Club is pleased to officially announce the appointment of former Super Eagles defender and club legend, Uche Okechukwu MON, fondly known as the ‘Gentle Giant,’ as the new Sporting Director of the club,” a statement from the club reads.
With his wealth of experience, Eyimba FC is hopeful that the 58-year-old can contribute significantly toward the growth and achievement of the club.
Uche Okechukwu had spells with several clubs in Europe including Brøndby IF, Fenerbahce, Ocean Boys FC, Bayelsa and others.
At the international level, he made 71 appearances for the Super Eagles, scoring one goal across the period.
