Jean Louis Toupane, the president of the Electoral Commission responsible for organizing the upcoming election of the Senegalese football federation, announced on Thursday that a qualified majority of two-thirds of the votes (i.e., 269 votes) is required for the future president of the FSF to be elected in the first round.
In the second round, an absolute majority (i.e., 203 votes) is required to determine the destiny of Senegalese football for the next four years. The vote is scheduled for Saturday, August 24, and 403 voters from club and league delegates will participate.
To recap, the candidates for the presidency of the FSF include Mady Touré from Génération Foot, Abdoulaye Diallo, Omar Ndiaye from Renaissance Sportive de Yoff, Saliou Samb from Stade de Mbour, Oumar Faye, and Me Augustin Senghor, the outgoing president.
