Habana, the all-time leading try-scorer for the Springboks, attributed his success to his teammates and coaches. In addition to being named the best player, he also received the trophy for the best try of the season, recognizing his impressive run against New Zealand. The 29-year-old winger had a notable season, contributing to Western Province’s Currie Cup win and scoring seven tries for the Springboks during the July test matches and the Four Nations tournament. Habana’s total try count for the South African team is 47.
