Borussia Mönchengladbach are actively working to find a new club for German-Ghanaian forward Charles Herrmann before the current transfer window comes to a close.
According to information gathered from a source, the Bundesliga side favours a loan move for the 20-year-old winger, believing that a temporary spell away from the club would allow him to gain valuable minutes that have been hard to come by this season.
Herrmann has struggled to break into the first team, managing just four minutes of action across six match days.
With opportunities limited in his current role, Gladbach’s technical staff are hopeful that a loan switch will help accelerate his progress and aid his transition into senior football. The club views regular competitive action as essential for the next stage of his development.
If no suitable destination is secured before the transfer window shuts, Gladbach are prepared to revisit the situation during the summer transfer period and reassess the best pathway for the player.
Herrmann, who is a U17 World Cup and European Championship winner, remains under contract with Borussia Mönchengladbach until 2028 and continues to be regarded as a long-term prospect by the club.
