Standard Liège’s new coach, Mircea Rednic, is hoping to bring in players he coached at Petrolul Ploiesti, including Franco-Algerian midfielder Damien Boudjemaa. Rednic expressed his desire to sign Boudjemaa, along with Marinescu and Grozav, stating that they fit perfectly into the system he wants to implement at Standard. However, he acknowledges that it won’t be easy to secure their transfers, as Petrolul’s management may not be willing to let them leave. Boudjemaa, aged 27, has been a key player for Petrolul and is under contract until June 2014.
