The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) has confirmed that all football matches scheduled for this weekend have been postponed due to adverse weather conditions.
In an official statement, FAF announced that the suspension applies to fixtures across all divisions in the country, although it did not clarify whether continental competitions under CAF are affected.
“Following the special weather bulletin issued by the National Meteorological Office, the Algerian Football Federation announces the postponement of all matches scheduled for this weekend, across all categories and divisions, without exception.
FAF added that the decision takes immediate effect, with new dates for the postponed matches to be announced later to the relevant leagues and teams.
The federation also stressed the importance of full compliance with the directive by all clubs and officials.
“This decision takes effect immediately. The new dates for the postponed matches will be set later and communicated to the parties concerned by the various leagues.
“The Algerian Football Federation insists on the need for strict application of the content of this communiqué by all bodies and teams concerned.”
