Fenerbahce head coach Domenico Tedesco has put an end to speculation surrounding the future of Moroccan international Youssef En-Nesyri, confirming that the striker will remain with the Turkish side during the ongoing winter transfer window.
Amid growing rumours linking En-Nesyri with a potential move away from Istanbul, Tedesco made it clear that the forward remains an important part of his plans for the coming period.
The coach stressed that there is no intention to allow the Moroccan attacker to leave, despite reported interest from abroad.
According to Calciomercato, Tedesco addressed the situation directly, offering a firm stance on the player’s status within the squad.
“The player’s situation is very clear and simple… As long as he is a Fenerbahce player, he is considered one of the team’s players and a key element within the group,” the coach said.
While confirming En-Nesyri’s place in the team, Tedesco also revealed that Fenerbahce are actively working to bring in an additional striker to bolster their attacking options.
However, he made no reference to En-Nesyri’s departure, reinforcing the club’s commitment to keeping the Moroccan forward.
Recent reports had suggested talks between En-Nesyri and Italian giants Juventus, who were keen on securing his services during the winter window. Those negotiations have since collapsed, further strengthening the likelihood of the striker continuing his journey with Fenerbahce for the rest of the season.
With Tedesco’s comments now public, Fenerbahce appear focused on strengthening their squad while maintaining stability, with En-Nesyri firmly remaining part of the club’s plans.
