Togo and Ivory Coast successfully defended their titles in the 2013 Maracana CAN held in Benin. The Togo veterans’ team emerged victorious against their Ivory Coast counterparts in the final with a score of 2-1. In the seniors category, the Ivory Coast national team secured a 3-0 victory against Togo, avenging their defeat in the previous edition. The Maracana CAN featured ten national teams from Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Niger, and Togo, divided into seniors (35 to 44 years old) and veterans (45 years and over) categories. Maracana is a foot-based sport played on a handball court with six players in each team and four reserves.
