M’Baye Niang, the Franco-Senegalese footballer currently with AC Milan, has expressed his desire to stay with the Rossoneri for the upcoming season. However, Genoa is keen on securing the talented player and is interested in a loan deal. Genoa’s coach, Fabio Liverani, expressed his desire to have Niang in his team, stating, “I dream of having Mbaye Niang in my team. A Niang who is hungry and who would be ready to test himself here, with us, in Genoa.”
Niang, under contract with AC Milan until 2017, played 26 matches and scored 1 goal in the Italian Cup last season. The situation suggests that despite Niang’s desire to stay at Milan, a potential move to Genoa on loan could be on the cards.
Additionally, Genoa is reportedly targeting Bordeaux player Henri Saivet, who recently played for Senegal in a FIFA day match against Zambia, ending in a 1-1 draw. Saivet is another player on Genoa’s radar as they look to strengthen their squad.
