West Ham United have secured the signing of Spanish winger Adama Traoré from Fulham, with a deal reportedly worth around £2 million plus performance-based add-ons.

The transfer is considered a “done deal” by multiple sources, with the player expected to undergo medical tests shortly before the official announcement.

The move facilitates a reunion between Traoré and Hammers manager Nuno Espírito Santo, who previously managed the pacey winger at Wolverhampton Wanderers from 2018 to 2021.

Nuno has been a driving force behind the transfer, keen to add Traoré’s exceptional speed and physical strength to West Ham’s attacking options as they battle to move up the Premier League table.

Traoré, 29, has found playing time limited at Craven Cottage this season, making just one start in 15 Premier League appearances. With his contract at Fulham set to expire in the summer, the club opted to cash in on the player this window rather than lose him for free.

The Spanish international is expected to sign a two-and-a-half-year deal at the London Stadium. His arrival is anticipated to provide a new dynamic to the West Ham attack, with his ability to drive down the wings and hold off defenders offering valuable support to other forwards like Jarrod Bowen.

The official confirmation of the deal is expected in the next 24 to 36 hours as final documents are exchanged and the medical is completed.
