Mourinho emphasized that there is “no chance he’s leaving” and stated that David Luiz is a player Chelsea wants to keep. The manager pointed out that the defender has four years remaining on his contract, and the club is not willing to entertain offers for his transfer, regardless of the amount offered.
Barcelona’s interest in David Luiz comes in the context of PSG’s resistance to negotiations for their captain, Thiago Silva. While the Blaugrana are seeking defensive reinforcements, Chelsea’s strong stance on retaining David Luiz may complicate any potential move to Barcelona.
