Wahbi Khazri’s next destination remains uncertain. Although Serie A’s newly promoted Sassuolo is actively pursuing the Bastia attacking midfielder, whose contract runs until 2015, no agreement has been finalized. A meeting is scheduled for Tuesday to discuss details, including Khazri’s salary demands, according to sports365.
Sassuolo may benefit from Roma’s involvement in the joint ownership negotiations. However, Lyon has reportedly entered the race as well. With 7 goals and 7 assists in 29 Ligue 1 matches last season, Tunisian international Wahbi Khazri recently stated that he is “open to any proposal” .
While awaiting a clearer resolution, Khazri started for Bastia in their first Ligue 1 match of the season, which ended in a 2-0 loss to FC Nantes at the Stade de la Beaujoire-Louis Fonteneau.
