Lille vs Lorient (1-0): Lille secured a 1-0 victory against Lorient, with Salomon Kalou’s team making an exemplary start. Kenyan-born Divock Origi scored the only goal.
Nantes vs Bastia (2-0): Nantes marked their return to Ligue 1 with a 2-0 win against Bastia. Togolese Serge Gakpé provided an assist for the first goal.
Guingamp vs Marseille (1-3): Marseille defeated Guingamp 3-1. Ghanaian Andre Ayew’s shot, poorly cleared by the defense, allowed Gignac to score the first goal. Ayew’s another cross led to Payet’s first goal. Guingamp scored a consolation goal through Malian Mustapha Yatabaré.

Dortmund vs Augsburg (4-0): Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had a sensational debut, scoring a hat-trick in Borussia Dortmund’s 4-0 victory.
Hertha Berlin vs Frankfurt (6-1): Promoted side Hertha Berlin had an impressive start, defeating Eintracht Frankfurt 6-1. Tunisian Sami Allagui scored a double.
Leverkusen vs Freiburg (3-1): Sidney Sam of Leverkusen, courted by the Nigerian national team, scored the third goal in a 3-1 victory against Freiburg.
Special mention to Didier Drogba, who scored the only goal giving Galatasaray the Turkish Super Cup against Fenerbahce.
