The Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon secured their first victory at the Women’s African Nations Cup in a dominant performance against Ivory Coast. In their second match, the Cameroonian team, led by coach Enow Ngachu, decisively outplayed a struggling Ivorian side that had previously demonstrated resilience against Ethiopia.

The Cameroonian players, led by Patience Manie, took control of the game early on, scoring in the 20th minute. Despite a quick response from the Ivorian team, Cameroon maintained their lead and added a second goal before halftime. The second half continued in a one-sided fashion, with Cameroon extending their dominance and scoring two more goals. The final score stood at 4-1 in favor of the Indomitable Lionesses.

Both Cameroon and Ivory Coast remain in contention for qualifying for the second round. In their next matches, Clementine Toure’s Ivory Coast team will face Nigeria, while Cameroon will take on Ethiopia, presenting crucial opportunities for both teams to advance in the competition.
