In a match for the 28th day of the Senegalese Professional League 1, Diambars solidified their position as the leader of the Senegalese championship by defeating Yeggo with a score of 2-0.
Thanks to a double from their attacker Ousseynou Ndiaye in the 78th and 84th minutes, Diambars secured a crucial victory against the best defense in the Senegalese championship. Yeggo had only conceded 13 goals in the previous 27 matches.
This significant win ensures that Diambars will maintain their leadership position at the end of the 28th day, with a total of 48 points. Their closest follower, Olympique de Ngor with 47 points, will play their match on Sunday.
In other matches, Diaraf of Dakar and Linguère of Saint-Louis played to a 2-2 draw.
Diambars, who has been the leader since the fourth day (despite a five-game winless streak), is now just two wins away from securing the championship. If they win against Autonomous Port next week and GFC the following week at home, they will clinch the title.
