Hervin Ongenda, the young talent who scored the equalizing goal for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the Champions Trophy match against Bordeaux, may find himself in the shadows of the club’s deep and wealthy squad. Despite the competition, Hervin’s father, Felix Ongenda, remains optimistic and believes in the opportunities his son can find within PSG.
“He will have his chance at PSG, it is up to him to find a place in the team. He takes this year as a learning experience. There will always be times when the coach needs him,” said Felix Ongenda. He emphasized the valuable experience of working alongside top players like Ibrahimovic or Cavani, stating, “And then, working alongside players like Ibrahimovic or Cavani, you can only learn very quickly. He is there to progress; he does not need to skip steps.”
Felix Ongenda expresses confidence in Hervin’s ability to make progress and earn his place within the PSG team over time, recognizing that the young player is in a learning phase and has the opportunity to develop alongside some of the best in the sport.
