Antoine Kombouaré, the new coach of Racing Club de Lens, expressed his sentiments regarding Laurent Blanc’s appointment as the coach of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). Despite acknowledging Blanc’s current position as the boss of PSG, Kombouaré did not shy away from expressing his views on the club’s stature.
“I’m really happy for him, and even more so after everything that’s been said. He is the boss today even if he was not the first choice,” stated Kombouaré in an interview with the daily Le Parisien. However, he added, “PSG is not yet a big club, but it has two things that no one else has: resources and the city of Paris.”
Kombouaré’s comments reflect a mix of acknowledgment for Blanc’s success and a nuanced perspective on PSG’s status in the football hierarchy. The coach is preparing for his first official match with Racing Club de Lens against CA Bastia.
