Zambia’s national football team, Chipolopolo, secured their place in the final round of qualifiers for the African Nations Championship (CHAN 2014) this Saturday. Following a draw (1-1) in the first leg of the first round against Botswana, Zambia emerged victorious with a 2-0 win in the second leg, securing their advancement.
The outcome means that Zambia will move on to the next stage of the qualifiers, and their next opponent will be determined based on the result of the match between Mauritius and Zimbabwe. Mauritius currently holds a 3-0 advantage after the first leg against Zimbabwe.
Several other nations, including South Africa, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Congo, Ethiopia, Ghana, Libya, Mali, Morocco, Mauritania, Nigeria, and Uganda, have already qualified for the African Nations Championship, showcasing the competitive nature of the qualification process.
