François Omam-Biyik, who joined the Gomido de Kpalimé club in Togo’s 1st division last April, appears to be parting ways with the Shows Boys club. After a period of being out of the spotlight, the former Cameroonian player has resurfaced and is reportedly close to committing to Union Sportive de Bitam in Gabon.
According to Gabonese media, Omam-Biyik is expected to be officially presented on Thursday as the new coach, succeeding Thomas Libyh, who was recently named the best coach in the Gabonese championship.
Despite their defeat in the final of the Gabon Cup against Mounana FC (2-0), the Bitam club was crowned champions of the season. This achievement secures them a spot in the upcoming African Champions League due to their direct qualification as champions. Omam-Biyik’s coaching role at Union Sportive de Bitam marks a new chapter in his career within the African football landscape.
