The Confederation of African Football has appointed Congolese referee Yannick Malala Kabanga to take charge of the CAF Champions League group stage clash between RS Berkane and Pyramids FC.

The encounter is scheduled for Saturday, January 24, at the Municipal Stadium in Berkane, as part of the third round of matches in the 2025–26 group stage.

CAF confirmed that the officiating team will be drawn entirely from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Kabanga will be assisted by Sibutu Blasi as first assistant referee and Kola Matalala as second assistant, while Pierre Kabengo has been named as the fourth official for the match.

The game will be overseen by match commissioner Claude Mahonou from Benin, with Muzinga Jacks of the Republic of Congo assigned as referee assessor. The general coordination of the fixture has been entrusted to Ali Gilani from Libya.

RS Berkane head into the fixture sitting top of Group A with six points after recording back-to-back victories against Power Dynamos and Rivers United. The Moroccan side will be aiming to maintain their perfect start when they host the Egyptian club.

Pyramids FC have also enjoyed a strong opening to their group stage campaign. The Egyptian side began with a convincing 3-0 win over Rivers United before securing a narrow 1-0 victory against Power Dynamos, setting up a highly anticipated encounter in Berkane.
