South African striker Lars Veldwijk has joined United Arab Emirates side days after his release from Dibba Al-Hisn.
The Bafana Bafana forward, who had fallen out of favour, was released by the UAE First Division side following the arrival of a new head coach.
Veldwijk had his contract terminated following a decision by the club’s hierarchy.
Nearly two weeks after leaving Dibba Al-Hisn, the 34-year-old has secured another deal within the same league.
Emirates Club, also competing in the UAE First Division, has officially announced his signing.
“Emirates Club has signed Dutch striker Lars as a foreign player, as part of the club’s efforts to strengthen its attacking line and support the first football team in preparation for upcoming competitions,” the club said in a statement.
This move marks Veldwijk’s third spell in the UAE First Division. He previously played for Gulf United after joining from Thai Premier League side BG Pathum United in January 2025.
