Pyramids FC have finalised the signing of midfielder Nasser Maher from Zamalek SC, with the player already saying farewell to his former teammates at the club’s training ground.
Sources indicate that Pyramids will pay approximately 40 million Egyptian pounds for Maher’s transfer.
The deal is believed to include an additional financial adjustment, as Pyramids reportedly agreed to waive 15 million pounds owed by Zamalek from outstanding payments related to the transfers of Nabil Emad, Dunga and Omar Gaber.
In a further move to facilitate the transfer, Maher is said to have waived his remaining dues from Zamalek.
The midfielder is expected to be available for Pyramids’ upcoming CAF Champions League clash against Renaissance Berkane.
“The value of Nasser Maher’s transfer from Zamalek to Pyramids amounted to 40 million pounds, in addition to Pyramids waiving another 15 million pounds owed to it by Zamalek in exchange for the deals of Dunga and Omar Gaber,” a source confirmed.
“Nasser Maher waived his dues from Zamalek in order to complete his transfer to Pyramids, and the player is expected to be with Pyramids during their match in the African Champions League.”
