Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye has announced a generous reward package for the national team following their triumph at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Lions of Teranga clinched the continental title after edging hosts Morocco 1–0 in the final to lift the trophy.
The victory sparked nationwide celebrations, with the players receiving a hero’s welcome on their return home. An official state reception was later held in their honour at the Presidential Palace.
Addressing the champions, President Faye revealed that each member of the squad will receive a cash bonus of 75 million CFA francs, equivalent to about $134,000, in recognition of their achievement.
In addition to the financial reward, the president also announced that every player will be allocated a 1,500-square-metre plot of land in the Petite Côte area as a further mark of appreciation for securing Senegal’s AFCON crown.
