Seydou Keita, currently a member of Dalian Aerbin in China, has dismissed the possibility of a return to Lens, despite the club announcing his name during this transfer window. The Malian midfielder had previously played for Lens from 2002 to 2007.
In response to the rumors, Keita stated, “There was never any question of me returning to Lens. I don’t know where this information comes from. I really like Lens, having played there for several years, but my return is not on the agenda. I am under contract in China with my club, Dalian Aerbin, and everything is going very well.”
This clarification from the Malian international indicates that he is committed to his current contract in China and has no plans to make a return to Lens. This news may disappoint Lens, who could have considered Keita as a valuable addition in their quest for promotion to Ligue 1.
