King Mohammed VI has sent a message of congratulations to Morocco’s national football team after their run to the final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, praising their performance, commitment and the wider significance of the tournament hosted on home soil.
In his message addressed to the Atlas Lions, the Sovereign commended the players for reaching the final of the continental competition and extended his congratulations beyond the squad itself.
He paid tribute to the coaches, technical, medical and administrative staff, as well as officials of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, describing the achievement as an honourable milestone for Moroccan football.

“As much as We consider the hosting by our country of this prestigious championship, with a quality of organization and warm hospitality, which originates from the nobility and secular values of our Moroccan Nation, to be a brilliant sporting achievement, as much as We also see it as a message of hope and confidence from Morocco towards its continent, confirming that African talent is capable of excelling and innovating in all fields,” the King affirms in this message.
