Morocco midfielder Azzedine Ounahi has emphasized his outfit is focused on winning the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations title as the team gears up for the final against Senegal.
The 35th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations comes to an end on Sunday, January 18, 2026, with Morocco and Senegal set to battle it out for the trophy at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
The North Africa football powerhouse are chasing their second AFCON title just as Senegal, who last won the trophy in 2021 in Cameroon.
According to Ounahi, the Atlas Lions are focused on securing the continental showpiece on home soil as they take onSenegal in a high-stake clash.
“Every player in the team, whether experienced or young and ambitious to prove themselves, is ready to give his best. We are all focused on one dream, which is to retain the title in Morocco and make our fans happy.” He said as quoted by Al-Botola.
“Walid Regragui made us feel like one family, everyone supports each other on and off the field, and this is what makes the team cohesive and ready to face the challenge.”
“We will play against Senegal 11 players against 11 players, and our goal is to give our best to please the fans in the stands or at home.”
Top Congolese referee Jean-Jacques Ndala has been appointed to handle the high-stake clash tonight.
