The team’s arrival in Dubai marked the commencement of this significant training camp, with the players and coaching staff focusing on refining their skills and strategies for the challenges that lie ahead.
During the UAE camp, Al Ahly is scheduled to participate in two friendly matches, crucial for fine-tuning their strategies and assessing the players’ form.
One notable absence from the squad is Salah Mohsen, as coach Marcel Koller has made a tactical decision to exclude him.
Since his return from a loan spell with Ceramica Cleopatra, Mohsen has featured in seven matches for Al Ahly, contributing both goals and assists.
Regarding the team’s dynamics, a source from Al Ahly, who requested anonymity, disclosed, “Koller decided to omit Salah Mohsen for tactical reasons.”
As for Karim Walid, the source mentioned, “He will not be traveling with the delegation due to personal circumstances but is expected to join the team next Monday.”
Concerning injured players, the source added, “Ahmed Abdelkader, Mahmoud Metwally, Reda Slim, and Khaled El-Fatah will continue their treatment programs in Cairo.”
Concluding the statements, the source hinted at the possibility of a friendly match against Kuwait after the UAE camp, providing an additional opportunity for the team to fine-tune their strategies ahead of the upcoming challenges.
Al Ahly’s decision to conduct a training camp in the UAE, orchestrated by Six Guards Group under the leadership of Amr Marzouk and Hisham Marzouk, in collaboration with the camp’s main sponsor, Abdul Rahman Jawish, underscores the club’s commitment to optimal preparation during the league’s hiatus.
